Mounting Instructions

1.	Wrap the safety strap around the front tube of the motorcycle. See Figure 1. Make certain the safety strap in no way interferes with the steering of the motorcycle or with the operation of cables, wires, brakes, etc. Figure 1
2.	Thread the end of the strap with the male buckle through the sewn loop at the other end of the safety strap.
3.	Check the bottom of the magnetic pad to insure that it is free of dirt or other debris that may scratch or otherwise harm the tank.
4.	Slowly and carefully place the bag in the desired position on the tank. CAUTION: As the tankbag is lowered toward the tank, the attraction of the magnets will cause the bag to jump to the tank.
5.	Adjust the pad so that it lays flat on the tank. Any folding or puckering of the bottom pad may minimize the grip of the magnets. The surface area of each magnet must be smoothly pressed against the tank.
6.	Connect the safety strap buckle to the matching buckle on the tankbag and adjust the slack out of the strap. CAUTION: The safety strap must be connected whenever the tankbag is in use.

WARNING: DO NOT CARRY COMPUTER DISKETTES, AUDIO TAPES OR ANY OTHER MAGNETICALLY ENCODED MEDIA, AS THEY MAY BE ERASED OR OTHERWISE COMPROMISED. THE STRIPS ON MOST CREDIT CARDS ARE MAGNETICALLY ENCODED.

The Eclipse Contour Magnetic Tankbag is constructed to carry normal touring loads. Overstuffing the bag may compromise the ability of the magnets to fully contact your tank, significantly reducing their holding power. Please use common sense when loading this pack, and do not exceed the G.V.W. rating of your motorcycle. Eclipse, Inc. assumes no liability for the improper mounting or use of the product.

Service
Because every Eclipse product is built for years of use, our equipment can be easily off-mounted for periodic cleaning, maintenance, or adjustment. It takes more time and costs more to make our products this way, but it means your equipment will last longer.

Cleaning
If soiled, machine washing the Eclipse Contour Magnetic Tankbag is not recommended. Wash with a hand brush using mild detergent in cold water. Then thoroughly rinse the bag with running water. DO NOT machine dry. (Note that repeated cleaning will deteriorate the fabric's waterproof coating.)

Eclipse Warranty
If an Eclipse product should ever become unsatisfactory due to a defect in materials or manufacturing*, call us for instructions to return it with a dated proof of purchase for prompt repair or replacement, at our option. This warranty applies to Eclipse branded products and is given to the original purchaser only. Altered products will void warranty. Warranty coverage requires that items be returned to Eclipse, without modification, before final disposition of the warranty is assessed.
