The 37 Quick rotor lock was the first high
security brake disc lock to come from ABUS. In the European
magazines, the 37 Quick always comes out on top against the competition.
It is virtually the same lock as the one used on the Magnum Chain except
it uses a longer shackle and shackle guard. For more information
about how the lock is made, check out the Magnum
Chain and Padlock page. The Quick can also be used to lock up
the Magnum Chain. This offers great convenience when using
the Quick for short rides or maximum security when using the Quick with
the Magnum Chain.
Unlike other typical rotor locks which use a pivoting shackle, the
shackle used on the Quick is dead locked by two hardened steel ball
bearings. This means the shackle has to be cut twice in order to
remove the lock. Most other rotor locks only have to be cut
once. Since the shackle is the most likely target for attack, ABUS
uses their special steel alloy along with their core hardening process
to provide maximum protection.
The Quick 37 is fitted with the patented ABUS
Plus® 7 disc cylinder with 250.000
combinations and anti-drill plate
