Both parts rotate freely which makes it virtually impossible to defeat. ABUS X-Plus key system is pick and drill proof. High quality, Made in Germany.

ABUS 8000 Detecto, with X-Plus key system is ABUS Brand top of the line Alarmed Disc Lock.
Abus has taken a different approach with it's line of Alarmed Disc Locks. We find the alarm sensitivity to be much less, compared to Xena Alarmed Locks, which can be perceived, dependant on personal preference, as a positive or not. Abus has placed more emphasis on the lock itself, to protect the bike, where the alarm function will kick in if someone attempts to tamper with the lock.
