People have asked me about  my personal take on the RoadLoK® MID Arachnid® S2 and RoadLoK® MID Sniper® HD1 or any other permanently mounted brake lock.

The RoadLoK® is a good idea. It's quality (from what we have seen thus far) is good but, for a medium level security device, it is way overpriced.
For the $260.00 to $399.00 cost you can purchase
high level chains or a good alarm system with pager. Essentially, the RoadLoK® performs as a well designed and expensive disc lock. The bike is immobilized when the pin is engaged. However, RoadLoK® does not prevent the bike from being lifted.

Buy a RoadLoK® if you feel the permanently mounted integrated lock feature is a plus and money is not an issue.
Don't buy a RoadLoK® if you think this is the absolute best security money can buy.

Disc locks like Xena (alarmed), Oxford Omega or Luma Xmart (foot peg / disc lock) will give you the exact same security level for less. Not to mention the fact that, when you change bikes, you keep your lock.
